Woods, resins or flowers can be finely crushed and ground with a mortar. A fantastic aroma is created when the fragrance-intensive plants are freshly ground.
Pleasantly crushed by hand with a mortar, plants are always preferable to electric grinding, as the energy of the grinding person flows into it. The mass gets a high vibration, if we recite e.g. mantras or prayers during grinding.
Additionally one can produce all kinds of pastes or creams with a mortar.
